“Long story short: while security of the highest standard has always been ingrained into what Cybernetica does, as a lot of our clients started asking for specific cybersecurity services, like penetration testing. So in response, we grew our capacity and focused the cybersecurity offering as a dedicated department.”
I joined Cybernetica last month as the new Head of Sales and Partnerships for Cybersecurity. This decision was inspired by a new exciting challenge: the chance to work with Cybernetica’s experts on a new cybersecurity service offering.
I have a solid professional background in manufacturing and finance. I hold an MBA from the University of Tartu in Entrepreneurship and Technology Management. All my previous roles have been client and service focused, so it is a sort of my inner drive. Based on that experience, knowledge and aspiration I am able to relate and understand how great of a responsibility it is for organisations to maintain mission-critical industrial control systems, trustworthy banking systems and protect customers’ invaluable data.
Advances in the digitalisation of organisations have unfortunately led to increasingly frequent, costly and damaging cyber incidents. Cybersecurity and defence against online threats have become more and more challenging, also because not all organisations are able to afford a dedicated team of cybersecurity experts or even system administrators.
Long story short: while security of the highest standard has always been ingrained into what Cybernetica does, as a lot of our clients started asking for specific cybersecurity services, like penetration testing. So in response, we grew our capacity and focused the cybersecurity offering as a dedicated department.
Our cybersecurity risk assessment service offering involves various entry level as well as specialised services. With the digital footprint analysis, for instance, we can provide an overview of what information about the organisation, its employees and networks are visible on the public Internet. Or in case of more specific needs, we can provide penetration testing of most critical assets (application, enterprise network) and assessing the potential vulnerabilities from the attackers’ point of view. We are capable of assessing organisations web, mobile and desktop applications, as well as cloud environments and applications, networks, IoT devices and production management equipment (SCADA).
Our advantage in offering cybersecurity services is having an in-house R&D institute and competences in building systems with high cybersecurity requirements. We are continuously seeking new business areas by combining our development focus with R&D. Our integrated management system is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standards. Our cybersecurity expertise and services are already trusted by leading organisations from telecommunication, information technology, financial and defence sectors.
In 2022, our plan is to introduce our service offerings to existing clients all over the world and onboard a wide variety of new clients from various countries. We encourage an open dialogue with us if you wonder what is your organisation’s current cybersecurity situation.
I’m sincerely honoured to join Cybernetica, the flagship tech company that is most known as the architect of the e-Estonia ecosystem. We are also the authors and contributors to various information security standards (Estonian Information Security Standard, NIST, ISO) and have played a key role in solving Estonian national cybersecurity crises (ROKA). Last but not least, Cybernetica will celebrate its 25th birthday in May 2022!
We are here to safeguard your organisation’s business continuity when it comes to cybersecurity. If you need a first look into or a fresh view of your organisation’s cybersecurity situation, please reach out to me directly.
