Cybernetica and Nout' Futur to Launch Secure Data Exchange in La Réunion

Cybernetica will implement a secure data exchange pilot based on Unified eXchange Platform (UXP) in La Réunion together with the local development agency Nout' Futur. The goal is to demonstrate how citizens can benefit from interoperability thanks to improved access to public administrative services.

As a result of the project, implemented in the French territory and tailored to French regulations, a proof of concept of a scalable interoperability solution will be created. This opens up future possibilities to scale interoperability across services and institutions in La Réunion and further. The objective is to build a system that will rely on digital identity and interoperability between information systems of various local organisations to remarkably simplify administrative procedures and their online availability for the citizens of La Réunion.

According to Riho Kurg, Head of Data Exchange Technologies at Cybernetica it’s an essential milestone for establishing digital transformation in the region. „Even more, building the platform in La Réunion means that it is compliant with the French requirements for digital technologies. This ensures the possibility to integrate our interoperability solution with central national systems in the future,” said Kurg.

A representative of La Réunion’s Nout' Futur said the choice to work with Cybernetica was made based on Cybernetica’s more than 20 years of experience. “Cybernetica has been a leader in its sector and has demonstrated its ability to transform the Estonian state initially and then to support other territories in managing the digitalisation of public and private services,” said the representative.

In the assessment phase of the project, Cybernetica will map the current situation as it relates to the maturity of interoperability and organisational capacity. Also, align main stakeholders for the implementation of a UXP-based secure data exchange platform. Cybernetica will onboard key organisations, select services to be included, as well as analyse and map business processes for services to be developed in the pilot stage. During the technical phase, a fully operational UXP environment will be deployed and first digital services will be launched.
