Cybernetica in cooperation with e-Governance Academy has developed the Beninese government services portal, which will contain all public e-services provided by the Government of Benin. Secure and trusted data exchange for the services is implemented based on the Unified eXchange Platform (UXP) technology.
The government services portal was first presented by the Minister of Digital Economy Aurelie Adam Soule Zoumarou on the 26th of March 2020. The cornerstones for e-governance solutions in Benin are secure data exchange between government authorities and development of services for the citizens. The portal will act as the manifestation of the government in its digital form. It allows citizens and businesses to access relevant services, such as acquiring building permits. In the long run, this will make the operations of the government more efficient and lives of the Beninese people smoother.

In December 2018, e-Governance Academy and National Information Systems and Services Agency (ASSI) of the Republic of Benin signed an agreement to design and implement the governmental interoperability framework. Cybernetica has the role of technology partner to deliver a secure data exchange platform UXP and government services portal framework for future services. Among other tasks, the project also focused on the development of an organisational structure, regulatory framework, and standards and procedures related to the sustained operations.
UXP is developed by Cybernetica based on the experience gained through the creation and continuous improvement of the Estonian X-Road system for nearly two decades, and independent research in the fields of interoperability, information security, and information governance. Today, UXP is used by governments including those of Namibia, Haiti, Benin, Tunisia, Greenland, Ukraine, and also by the financial sector in Japan, healthcare space in USA and has been piloted by NATO.
