Martin Link

Head of Surveillance Systems Department

Cybernetica signed a contract with the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board to strengthen the surveillance capabilities on the country’s Eastern border, which is also part of the external border of the European Union.

Cybernetica will be installing an integrated system of radars, cameras and other surveillance equipment on the border with the project completed by the end of the year.

According to Martin Link, the Head of Cybernetica’s Surveillance Systems Department, winning the procurement in a changing security environment in the region, is a testament to Cybernetica’s capabilities to carry out work in this strategically important sector. „The Police and Border Guard Board are investing in strengthening security on the Estonian Eastern border and as part of these activities, Cybernetica will be deploying a state of the art surveillance system,“ explained Link.

Cybernetica has previously worked with the Police and Border Guard Board on border surveillance systems related projects mainly involving water bodies. While mainly known for e-governance and cybersecurity innovation, Cybernetica also has a proven track record for developing products for the defence and homeland security areas.
