Cybernetica received a certificate for compliance with the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard for information security management systems. Cybernetica is the only Estonian-based cyber security company to comply with the standard.
According to Oliver Väärtnõu, chairman of the board at Cybernetica, meeting the requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 standard is a clear quality mark recognised internationally. „During the last couple of years, we have streamlined our focus and boldly entered new foreign markets. Complying with relevant internationally recognised standards communicates reliability and high professionalism to our partners and customers all around the world,“ Väärtnõu says.
Helena Sarapuu, head of quality management at Cybernetica explains that the certification process was extremely thorough, as the auditors acquaint themselves with all the aspects of information security management in the company. Our quality management system is compliant with the ISO 9001 standard, so ISO/IEC 27001 was the next logical step for us. It sends a clear message to our stakeholders of being able to ensure information security according to international requirements,“ Sarapuu explains.
The ISO/IEC 27001 standard was published in 2005 to replace the BS7799-2 standard and focuses on the management of information security systems.
