The number of countries turning to the SDSB technology developed at Cybernetica that forms the basis of Estonia’s eGovernment backbone X-Road is increasing.
On October 28th 2014 the e-Governance Academy signed an agreement with the government of Namibia for implementation of the governmental data exchange layer similar to X-Road in Namibia over the next two years. Up to now, Cybernetica has successfully assisted the development of an information system similar to the X-Road in the State of Azerbaijan and is currently helping Palestine on similar development.
The X-Road will be an enabler for the Namibian public sector at provision of secure Internet-based use of data from different governmental institutions and developing e-services for the country’s residents and companies.
