Cybernetica to deploy original Estonian eGovernment solutions in Japan

Dan Bogdanov, supervisory board member of Cybernetica visited Japan from March 4th to March 8th with the business delegation accompanying the President of Estonia Toomas Hendrik Ilves. Objective of the visit was to strengthen the political and economic cooperation between Estonia and Japan.

President Ilves introduced the benefits of current Estonian eGovernment solutions to Japanese state officials and businesses, making suggestions in order to increase the efficiency of both the state and the companies of Japan. The President recognised Japan's progress with the MyNumber project that aims to implement a code in Japan similar to the Estonian personal code.

Cybernetica participated in the delegation as the developer and leading exporter of X-Road - the key technology behind the success of the Estonian e-Government. Mr Bogdanov discussed the deployment of X-Road in Japan with both established and new business partners. In addition to X-Road, Dan Bogdanov also presented Cybernetica's new Sharemind data protection technology in the pitching event "Pitch to the President"

Cybernetica has been actively involved in research collaboration with Japan since 2010 when joint research projects were started with the Japanese National Institute of ICT (NICT) . An increasing interest in Cybernetica's X-Road and e-voting technologies has led to new and stronger business relations. We thank our Japanese partners for their confidence and look forward to successful future projects.
