Kristiina began her journey with Cybernetica two years ago, starting as an intern before progressing to a role as a junior software tester. Today, she works as a QA engineer in our Tax and Customs Systems Department, where the team develops scalable and sustainable solutions for tax and customs processes. We caught up with Kristiina to learn more about her journey and experiences at Cybernetica. Read on to discover her story!

  • How long have you worked at Cybernetica, and in which positions?

Two years. I joined as an intern, then became a junior software tester, and now I am a QA engineer.

Linux

  • What’s your favourite part of the day?

I’m a morning person. I enjoy waking up in the early, quiet hours, reading a book, and starting the day feeling refreshed.

  • Team paper notes or team digital notes?

I’ve recently been leaning more towards paper.

  • Team morning workout or team evening workout?

Team evening workout, although I stay active throughout the day by walking or cycling to work and taking short walks during lunch.

Managing tight deadlines while effectively prioritising tasks.

We maintain open communication through daily stand-ups, sharing challenges, and supporting one another.

  • What has been the most profound lesson for you at Cybernetica?

I’ve learned that clear communication and collaboration are just as important as technical skills.

  • What has been your most memorable project or situation so far?

A two-year project successfully going live after a strong team effort was incredibly rewarding.

  • What changed for you when you became a full-time employee?

I took on more responsibility.

  • What would you like to say to your past self as an intern?
