President Emmanuel Macron announced the Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace today at the Paris Peace Forum, with tech giants and governements around the world joining the initiative, including Cybernetica.
The initiative calls for an open, accessible, stable and peaceful cyberspace, which has become an integral component of life in all its social, economic, cultural and political aspects, with the three key elements of the initiative calling for the protection against indiscriminate or systemic cyberattacks against individuals or civilian infrastructure; the protection against attacks against the broad availability of the internet and the protection against foreign interference with electoral processes.
According to Oliver Väärtnõu, CEO of Cybernetica, one of the early endorsers and a top cybersecurity corporation based in Tallinn, Paris Call is a highly welcome initiative in the current cyber climate. "Cybernetica has a long history with uncommon partnerships that bring together actors across fields to achieve high impact results. We strive towards the goals of Paris Call in our operations across the globe and feel a strong sense of agency in moving forward together to build a secure world," Väärtnõu said.
