Cybernetica won Estonian Information Systems Authority (EISA) bid to continue development of the X-Road system. The tender included development, support and maintenance work over the course of the next two years.
“This is the next step in our long-term strategic partnership with EISA,” said Margus Freudenthal, X-Road architect at Cybernetica. “We have been developing the X-Road technology already since 2001 and our collaboration has always been outstanding. We are honoured to be a part of such an important chapter of the e-Estonia story,” Freudenthal added.
“We are glad to continue our fruitful cooperation with Cybernetica, our long term e-government development partner Cybernetica,” said Andrus Kaarelson, deputy head of EISA.
The first version of the X-Road, developed by Cyberentica, went live already in 2001. Currently Cybernetica is focused on exporting their Unified eXchange Platform technology and other critical e-governance components across the world.
